The Golden Anteaters 10th jubilee!
It is in keeping with our tradition that every edition of the IFF Golden Anteaters is bigger and better than its predecessor. This year we have chosen more than 130 short and feature length films from all over the world from almost 2300 entries. We had begun our selection in January to end it at the beginning of October. We are absolutely confident that we have made the best possible choices and we will show you the most compelling films. We take great pleasure and pride in that.
The Festival will take place on 18-26 November at the Centre for Culture in Lublin, 12 Peowiaków St. The feature films will be screened in the Screening
Room, and the short films in the Main Auditorium. The entry to all competition and non-competition screenings is free.
The Festival will end on a Saturday evening (26th November) with awarding the winners with the Golden Anteater statuettes. The gala will be hosted by a well-known Lublin artist, the founder of the Lublin improv school - Przemysław Buksiński.
For the second time the Golden Anteaters have obtained the Honorary Patronage of the President of Lublin. Our city has also funded 2 main awards for the short films competitions and the Masters of Feature Films competition. The Jury of this year's edition of the short films contests are Michał Zabłocki, Bartosz Żurawiecki, and Maciej Gil. As in the previous years, the Jury of the feature length films was chosen from our Audience.
This year's competitions are as follows:
- MASTERS OF FEATURE FILMS
- MASTERS OF ANIMATION
- MASTERS OF OBSERVATION
- MASTERS OF OFFBEAT FILMS
- MASTERS OF EMOTIONS
- MASTERS OF GENRE
- MASTERS OF THEME
- LITTLE ANTEATERS
Beside the festival's screenings, we are glad to invite you for the second Kino Kabaret - Lublin KinoEeaters and plenty of workshops. All of the films' authors, Kino Kabaret's participants, the Festival's volunteers, and the audience will have a chance to meet each other in the Festival's Club in the Centre for Culture's underground section. This will also be the place of concerts and improv shows. We hope that improv based on our Festival's films will become one of the characteristics of the Golden Anteaters setting it apart from other festivals, as our children's films competition and the workshops around it already are.
